Recipe - Pan Fry Teriyaki Salmon Belly

The salmon belly is the fattiest part of the fish and it is also the most flavourful. If you enjoy the taste of salmon, you will like the distinct flavour of the salmon belly.

The salmon belly is sold in strips in the supermarket here, making it very convenient for cooking. Just clean off any residual scales and rinse.

In this recipe, I use olive oil for frying and teriyaki sauce for glazing.

Recipe:
5 strips of salmon belly, about 100 grams each
2 tbs of teriyaki sauce
1 tbs of olive oil
dash of salt and pepper.

Method:
Marinate the salmon belly with a dash of pepper and salt.
Heat the oil in pan.
When the oil is hot, reduce the heat to medium low
Fry the salmon belly on each side till golden brown, about 2 minutes for each side.
Add the teriyaki sauce for the glaze.
Serve with a slice of lemon.
I use mint leaves for garnishing.
