Recipe - Grilled Chicken Wings With Turmeric

Grilled chicken wings are great for parties. They are relatively easy to prepare and delicious to eat. A variety of sauces can be used to marinate the wings for flavour.

Turmeric is best known for preventing cancer and diabetes, so I try to incorporate turmeric into my recipe. I added turmeric powder to the marinade and it adds a slight peppery flavour when cooked.

Turmeric stains. To prevent staining, I put the chicken wings into a plastic bag, toss in the marinate and mix the marinate and wings in the  plastic bag .

Ingredients:
10 chicken wings, cut into halves
1 teaspoon salt
turmeric powder
1 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon light soy
A dash of pepper
1 tablespoon of turmeric powder.
2 lime juices

Method
In a plastic bag, toss in the wings and marinade
Wrap your fingers over the plastic bag and mix the wings and marinade.
Keep the wings overnight in the fridge.

In an oven, lay the wings over a baking tray in a single layer.
Heat at 200 degree C for about 20 minutes, or when the wings turn golden brown.
Turn over the wings and heat for another 10 minutes for the other side to turn brown.
Total time is about 30 minutes.

If you like the wings to be sweeter, squeeze some honey over the wings when they are turned.
