Recipe - How To Make Your Own Pizza

What do you do when you wake up early in the morning and have a craving for a pizza ?  The nearest pizza hut is kilometers away and it is too early for home delivery service. The thing to do is be creative and make your own pizza. Necessity (or hunger) is the mother of all inventions, so they say.

This pizza is made using wraps, a kind of flat bread. The wrap is thin and crusty. It is easy to make. It is also cheap, delicious and healthy.

This one has no meat and I use what I have for the toppings. Mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, pasta sauce, mozzarella cheese, small green chillies and basil leaves make this topping.

Ingredients (for 1 pizza):
1 ready made wrap.
3 shitake mushrooms, cut thinly. (note - canned button mushrooms are also suitable)
2 tbs of pasta sauce
5 cherry tomatoes, cut into halves
1 tbs of mozzarella cheese
Quix Original wraps
2 small green chillies (for the kick)
Handful of basil leaves

Method:
Spoon all ingredients on the wrap, except basil leaves.
Bake in the oven for about 10 minutes
Garnish with basil leaves and enjoy.

Note: I bought the wraps from the supermarket and they can be kept in the freezer.

If you like to make your own dough for the pizza crust, this 3 minute video shows how.
